Manufactured Homes in MS County Have to Meet Wind Zone II Ratings

From Mississippi, the Picayune Item reports that county officials indicated recently that federal, state and local officials are tightening code enforcement of wind zone rating regulations. According to the report,  Pearl River County carries a wind zone rating of two, and in order to connect to the power grid a manufactured home must have a Wind Zone Two rating stamped on it. The article says the cost of Wind Zone Two homes increases anywhere from $1,500 to $2,500 over that of Wind Zone One homes, depending on the size of the home.
