Latest HUD Code Manufactured Housing Shipment Statistics, June 2017

Washington, D.C., August 3, 2017 – The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) reports that according to official statistics compiled on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), year-over-year manufactured housing industry production increased during June 2017,” the association told MHProNews.

Just-released statistics indicate that HUD Code manufacturers produced 8,152 homes in June 2017, an 11.7% increase over the 7,299 HUD Code homes produced during May 2016,” the MHARR release said.

Cumulative industry production for 2017 now totals 46,602 homes, a 16.9% increase over the 39,869 HUD Code homes produced over the same period in 2016.”

A Deeper Look at the Stats

MHARR informs the Daily Business News that, “A further analysis of the official industry statistics shows that the top ten shipment states from the beginning of the industry production rebound in August 2011 through June 2017 — with cumulative, monthly, current year (2017) and prior year (2016) shipments per category as indicated — are:”

 

 

The association notes that latest information for June 2017 resulted in no changes to the cumulative top-ten list.
