Official statistics compiled on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), year-over-year manufactured housing industry production grew once again during August 2017.  So says the latest report to the Daily Business News on MHProNews by the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR).

Just-released statistics indicate that HUD Code manufacturers produced 8,434 homes in August 2017, a 14.5% increase over the 7,363 HUD Code homes produced during August 2016,” stated MHARR’s release to MHProNews.

Cumulative industry production for 2017 now totals 60,839 homes, a 15.7% increase over the 52,567 HUD Code homes produced over the same period in 2016,” per the statement authorized by MHARR President and CEO, Mark Weiss, JD.

Should that 15.7 percent annual rate of increase hold, that would equal an annualized rate of some 93,833 homes.

MHARR said that, “A further analysis of the official industry statistics shows that the top ten shipment states from the beginning of the industry production rebound in August 2011 through August 2017  — with cumulative, monthly, current year (2017) and prior year (2016) shipments per category as indicated — are:”
