Iowa Manufactured Home Installers Need Fewer Hours

Following a story MHProNews, com posted Feb. 5, 2014 regarding certification of manufactured housing installers in Iowa, Joe Kelly, executive vice-president of the Iowa Manufactured Housing Association (IAMHA), says the state has reduced the number of hours of continuing education from 12 to 8. The current three year certification ends June 30th, 2014, and those who need the eight hours can complete it in one day—March 3, 4, or 5. Installers will receive a letter from the Building Code Department, a division of the Department of Public Safety, advising them of hours completed and hours needed to maintain certification.
