Helicopter crew getting New Pad

According to thetandd, the Regional Medical Center board of trustees voted to purchase a manufactured home for the helicopter crew of LifeNet South Carolina, in Orangeburg. The board approved $138,000 for the 1,600 square foot home that will house a pilot and one or two paramedics. The helicopters receive about 200 calls a year, and have a maximum flying time of an hour and ten minutes. As MHProNews has learned, the new manufactured home will replace an older existing model, and will be sited in a field behind the hospital.
