GE Appliances Jerry Wolff Addresses MHI Congress

LAS VEGAS, NV – April 28, 2011. Jerry Wolff (Marketing Manager, GE Appliances) addressed the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) Congress in Las Vegas NV to urge a paradigm shift from problems to problem solving. Use social media, be pro-active. Having a small group of people who surf the web to engage consumers who have complaints is very effective. GE has been an Energy Star ’partner of the year’ every year since 2004.  A nucleus can manage online from a distance.  Their strategy is not outsourcing, but in-sourcing. They invested 1B last year in the appliance business.  By the end of this year, the Chinese plant will come from China to Louisville KY, and the Mexicano Asian factory is also moving.  Net result is 1300 new jobs for Louisville KY and Bloomington IN.  Applause broke out twice during Wolff’s announcement of jobs coming from other nations back to the US!
