Expeditious Need Leads Texas School District to Modular

Benzinga reports that the Katy Independent School District (Katy ISD) in Katy, Texas, is ordering 27 modular buildings to meet enrollment needs in this fast-growing suburb of Houston.  Several new nearby housing developments will increase the number of families, so the district advertised for an accelerated solution to obtain classrooms.  Ramtech, the largest producer of modular units in the Southwest, got the nod, and will need to meet a May 25, 2011 deadline as required by the school board. The 24 1,536 square foot classrooms and three 240 square foot restrooms will join other Ramtech buildings on the campus.  The company has manufactured and installed over 2000 classrooms since 1982.
