From Housing Predictor, MHProNews.com has learned that record high prices farmers are being paid for crops in the Mid-West are pressuring home prices and inflating values there. According to the article, in 2012 15 states will witness at least some cities with inflating home prices. This is largely due to higher crop prices in Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. Housing Predictor says inflation is forecast to top out at 5.8 percent in Kansas City in 2012. West Virginia is also expected to experience inflation as retirees move there looking for affordability. A natural resource boom in some of North Dakota’s smaller communities has lured builders and providers of temporary manufactured housing. Texas, as well as South Dakota and Oklahoma are also expected to experience housing inflation in 2012.
