Congress asked to Reduce HUD’s Manufactured Housing Program Budget

HUD's Manufactured Housing Program Newsletter LogoIn a news release to MHMSM.com, MHARR announced they will ask Congress to review the HUD Manufactured Housing Program budget.  The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) asserts that HUD’s program budget has grown, while manufactured housing shipments have dropped 86% in 13 years.  They suggest that Congress cut the program budget by 35%, while increasing funding to the State Administrative Agencies (SAA’s) by 22%.  This meets the Obama Administration’s policy set forth in Executive Order 13563 on avoiding unnecessary regulatory burdens and costs as set out in and related statements. The complete MHARR release details are available at the link below.
