Despite pleas from a homeowner’s association representative that no more MH be allowed in the Hillcrest subdivision in Abita Springs, Louisiana, nola reports the St. Tammany Parish Zoning Commission approved a request to site a manufactured home in the subdivision. The home would be situated among other factory-built homes that have been grandfathered in. The homeowner’s association, which represents 30 percent of the property owners, says additional homes will harm property values. The MH owner says her $90,000 home would not bring the neighborhood down. As MHProNews has learned, the commission’s recommendation will be sent to the Parish council, which has final say.
