Collaborative Effort Results in Senior Housing

The Staten Island Advance reports the multi-story modular apartment building being assembled in Tompkinsville, New York, is attracting quite a bit of attention. Funded with a mix of government subsidies and private investment, the project will be managed by the Community Agency for Senior Citizens (CASC). A collaboration of the nonprofit Victory Fiedler Housing Development and Leewood Real Estate Group, the $12 million facility will contain 39 apartments for senior citizens and low income tenants. The stairways and elevators will be added once the modular units are fixed in place. The first floor will be an art gallery.
