The Clayton Built™ Anniversary Home is available with the Energy Smart upgrade that includes Low-E windows, a programmable thermostat and several other energy efficiency features.

Clayton Homes started business in 1956 when founder Jim Clayton sold his first home. Since then, the company has evolved into a world class housing leader in building site-built homes, modular homes, “tiny” homes, barracks and dormitories, in addition to manufactured housing. Clayton has sold 828 of the Anniversary model home to date.

“I’m so proud to continue the tradition my father, Jim Clayton, started – making the dream of homeownership a reality,” said Kevin Clayton, CEO of Clayton. “Over the past 60 years, we’ve welcomed families home to well-built, affordable, sustainable housing with smart storage, thoughtful amenities and room to grow.”

The Clayton Built™ 60th Anniversary Home is 1,216 square feet with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, eight-foot ceilings, sliding glass doors and recessed lighting. Stylish details include a wood entertainment center with built-in shelving and a farmhouse kitchen sink with sprayer. The master suite has a 72-inch “glamour tub,” a 48-inch shower and dual sinks. Energy Smart features include Low-E insulation and R22-11-33 Insulation which lowers heating and air costs for homeowners.

Clayton is a builder that uses sustainable building practices, having received the ISO 14001 registration on all 39 of its homebuilding facilities.  This means the company has instituted international measures designed to reduce the cost of waste management and lower energy consumption. These green practices will lead to reduced waste, decreased energy consumption and the promotion of recycling building materials that allow Clayton to continue providing homeowners with affordable, smart homes.

Lifestyle bloggers Elizabeth and Dale Phillips purchased a new Clayton Built™ Anniversary home after spending a year remodeling older manufactured homes.  They featured the home in a recent blog article on their website, PhillipsPlace.

“We did our homework, and this model was far and away the best value for us,” said Dale Phillips. “We were able to customize the space to suit our tastes, replacing appliances and turning the living room into a dining room.”
