Charleston Slowly Building Modular Homes

As the postandcourier informs MHProNews, modular homes have been slow to catch on in the Charleston, South Carolina area, although there are pockets in the city that have them, most notably north Charleston-based, Hunley Waters, which is all modular homes. Supplied by Nationwide Homes in Martinsville, Vir., the dwellings are priced in the low to mid $200k. Jacob’s Point in Hollywood and The Bend on Johns Island also have modular homes sited. The National Modular Housing Council says at the end of 2004 South Carolina ranked ninth in the nation in terms of modular homes on the ground.
