Champion Homes Subsidiary Consolidating Space in United Kingdom

modular__24_dash_dot_com_ukMHPronews has learned from constructionenquirer that modular building specialist Caledonian Modular in the UK is closing its Driffield manufacturing facility in East Yorkshire and transferring those operations to its Newark plant, with minimal loss of jobs.

A spokesman for Caledonian Modular said: “Caledonian has ambitious plans to double revenue over the next few years and has a clear business plan that sets out its strategy and growth objectives, in conjunction with an ongoing investment in its manufacturing facilities and its people.” Situated on a 40 acre site, the Newark plant is the single largest modular manufacturing plant in the UK, with capacity to accommodate the company’s future expansion plans.

Caledonian expects to add 160 new jobs over the next 18 months. The modular builder is a subsidiary of the United States’ Champion Homes. ##
