Canadian City Considering Modular Homes

A housing business plan for the city of Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada indicates a moderate to high growth plan through 2025 will require between 1,800 and nearly 2,600 new housing units, including available land. As part of that estimate, the estevanmercury.ca informs MHProNews that affordable housing and entry-level dwellings, including purpose-built rentals, are needed immediately. The report suggests that modular homes could be readily available in the short term, although a long-term strategy is also required.
