Bomberger to Head NAHB’s 50 Plus Housing Council

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) announces Steve Bomberger has been elected chairman of the NAHB 50+ Housing Council, succeeding Robert Karen, for a one-year term. President of Benchmark Builders, Inc. of Wilmington, Delaware, he has been awarded the Builder of the Year by the Home Builder Association/Delaware (HBA/DE) on two separate occasions, the only builder to receive the award more than once. He said, “Since 25 percent of the buyers in today’s market are aged 55 plus, building homes that meet the lifestyles of these customers is not only good business, but it’s key to the long-term vitality of our industry and our communities.” He also serves on the NAHB Budget Committee, the NAHB Strategic Planning Committee and Single Family Production Builders Committee. As MHProNews understands, the 55+ market is also vital to the manufactured housing industry. ##
