Australian Modular Maker Sees Profit

NineMSN of Australia tells the Fleetwood Corporation, a producer of RVs and modular accommodations for residential and commercial applications, announced its profit for the six months ending Dec. 31, 2011 rose ten percent to $26.89 million. CEO Steven Price attributes the earnings report to increased demand for temporary accommodations for miners across Australia. In business since 1964, Fleetwood’s Coromal Caravans is the largest manufacturer of RVs in Western Australia, and second largest in the country. The company’s network of subsidiaries covers Australia as well as New Zealand, and also produces RV accessories and replacement parts, fiberglass canopies and liners, campers, retirement homes, and modular buildings for offices and schools. Fleetwood declared a dividend of 33 cents a share, up one cent from the previous year.
