Aries Moving on Modular in North Carolina

aries_building_systems__creditThe Texas modular construction company, Aries Building Systems, is expanding into the North Carolina market where it intends to bid on government and school projects that have traditionally gone to general contracting firms. Currently in negotiations with several private firms for projects in the Triangle region of NC, Aries will be led by industry veteran Butch Mullinix, according to bizjournals.

As MHProNews last reported April 7, 2015, Aries is also expanding into Oregon and the Northwest. The company has existing contracts in western Washington state, and has opened a headquarters facility in Bellevue, WA. Aries focuses on schools, multifamily housing, hospitals and other institutional buildings.

Mullinix, noting that it is a system of building, and that it can be simple or technologically complex, says, “There’s always been such a stigma with modular buildings, but really it can be anything you want it to be. We trust our lives to vehicles that are built in manufacturing facilities, but not for the buildings where we work every day. Our goal is to make it more mainstream. ##
