ChicagoTribune reports that fabled Frank Lloyd Wright’s American System-Built Home in south Milwaukee has been placed on the market for sale. The home is one of six that Wright did as part of his pursuit for affordable housing. It was made from prefabricated materials that were assembled onsite. The home was originally built about 1916 as a duplex. Jillayne and Dave Arena bought the building when it was a rental unit 30 years ago. Jillayne Arena said they put hundreds of thousands of dollars into making it a single-family home and preserving it. Moving to Iowa, the pair have it listed for $200,000.
