Growing Need for Senior Housing to Drive Modular Market

MHProNews.com has been informed the need for worldwide senior housing is projected to drive that sector of the construction market to $127 billion by 2023 in the G20 summit nations, growing at a compounded eight percent over the coming decade, more than double the current market value. As reversemortgagedaily.com says, Lux Research senior analyst Aditya Ranade writes in Future of Construction: Influence of Megatrends, “Driven by the need to combat unsustainable health-care costs, innovations such as building-integrated sensors, modular construction and building automation will enable the change from assisted living to aging-in-place.” Noting that seniors and children under two are the two most vulnerable populations for infectious diseases, she writes, “Preventative measures such as use of biocidal paints and allergen capturing carpets can help in all buildings, but are especially necessary in senior housing.”
