Modular Home built into Steep Cliff

A modular house for sale in Townsville, Queensland, Australia offers spectacular views of Cleveland Bay from every room as it rests on 18 large steel pins drilled 20 feet into the rock foundation below. “It’s a very strong design because all of the columns work in unison, like spokes on a bike. Some are pulling and some are pushing, but it doesn’t move, it’s like a masonry house,” says engineer builder Dick Cerny. Built to withstand winds up to 316 mph, Cerny owns four neighboring lots and intends to build similar homes on them as well. As MHProNews has learned from news.com.au, the home sits on the northeast coast of Australia and is on the market for $1.05 million.
