DunedinPatch in Florida tells MHProNews.com in looking at five ‘green’ developments in Dunedin, the Glencairn Cottages stand out as a modular home neighborhood two blocks from downtown. Each of the fourteen homes have 1,500 to 2,000 square feet, attached garages, gourmet kitchens, and energy-efficient appliances, insulation, pipes and ductwork. Built by Pocket Neighborhoods, Inc. in 2008, the homes range in price from $200,000 to $400,000. The other four ‘green’ developments include a community center, 19 Habitat for Humanity homes, an elementary school, and Florida’s first green-certified gas station.

The home in the picture is lovely! I love the porches! There are so many misconceptions about modular homes. Hopefully when people see neighborhoods like this popping up they will realize some of the great benefits to modular homes.
