Texas Sized Tidbits

We will know in the coming months (14 or less) if Texas will be home to the next President of the United States.

We know already that CEO Magazine rates Texas as a top “business friendly” state.

Unemployment in Texas is lower than the national average.

Of keen importance to us in manufactured housing, Texas often leads the nation in manufactured home sales and production.

This weekend, I will get on a plane and jet to DFW, heading for the Texas Manufactured Association’s 2011 annual meeting. While I will be speaking next Monday, frankly I’m keen to talk to as many Texans in our industry as possible, to learn what they believe is working well in their state, and what steps they are taking to make their performance even better.
