In an age of \u2018what\u2019s in it for me\u2019, one of the ways each of us can change the consciousness of the world in which we travel \u2013 whether it is your family, community or your nation \u2013 is to develop a personal philosophy of giving yourself away.\u00a0 Now, I don\u2019t mean to imply that you have to share all of your time, ideas or wealth with your neighbor or a total stranger.\u00a0 Having said that, I would ask you how much of \u2018you\u2019 are you sharing?<\/p>\n

I know many very generous people who share their financial wealth but who refuse to give up a single moment of their time for someone in need.\u00a0 I also know many people who struggle daily with the need to support a business or family who would give you hours of their time.\u00a0 Both types of generosity are worthy of our praise but what\u2019s the difference between these two types of giving?<\/p>\n
