{"id":63,"date":"2009-11-30T10:05:20","date_gmt":"2009-11-30T16:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/wordsofwisdom\/?p=63"},"modified":"2009-11-30T10:05:20","modified_gmt":"2009-11-30T16:05:20","slug":"fourth-quarter-blues-got-em","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/wordsofwisdom\/fourth-quarter-blues-got-em\/","title":{"rendered":"Fourth quarter blues &#8211; got em?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Words of wisdom for this week<\/h3>\n<p><i>&#8220;What I need is someone who will make me do what I can.&#8221;<\/i>\u00a0 Ralph Waldo Emerson<\/p>\n<p><b>The pressure is on<\/b> and management is breathing down your neck to finish the year on a positive note and hit or beat your number for the year.\u00a0 I know the feeling.\u00a0 You have looked under every rock and behind every tree and there still doesn&#8217;t seem to be any more business out there that you can close.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>You have tried everything. You have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contacted inactive clients and tried to re-activate them<\/li>\n<li>Harassed your new prospects until they don&#8217;t ever want to hear\u00a0from you again<\/li>\n<li>Made more calls than ever before in your career<\/li>\n<li>Made concessions with prospects to get them to place an order<\/li>\n<li>Started your day earlier and finished it later<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And the list goes on and on&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So what&#8217;s left to do to ensure that you have a record year, or at least enough to make sure you keep you job for another year?<\/p>\n<p>Here is a brief list of actions you can take that you might not of thought of:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Try a new creative approach, one you have been unwilling to do in the past because it seemed so &#8216;out of the box&#8217;, to get your prospect&#8217;s attention.\u00a0 Send them a dinner plate (FedEx) with a note attached saying something like, &#8220;It&#8217;s time to get this off your plate and on to mine. Let&#8217;s get started.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Devour a new sales book or two, one you have been putting off all year.
