\nMany people are searching for acceptance outside of themselves when they haven’t yet learned to accept themselves. Self-acceptance is being O.K. with who you are, how you got there and where you are going. It is patience and loving yourself even when you make mistakes, fail or do really stupid things.<\/p>\n
Self-acceptance is a close relative of self-esteem. It is difficult to have one without the other and if you have one you will tend to have the other also.<\/p>\n
So, if you want greater inner peace and happiness, learn to accept who you are – a work in progress – someone who will never be perfect, but willing to continue to grow, learn and be filled with gratitude for who you are, what you have and where you are heading.<\/p>\n
