There is MHI \u2013 the Manufactured Housing Institute and MHARR \u2013 the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform. Each of these is currently pursing rather different courses of action.<\/span><\/span><\/p><div id=\"manuf-2867416062\" class=\"manuf-content manuf-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3870480136270376\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3870480136270376\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">MHI<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">MHI&#8217;s primary focus has been Dodd-Frank reform. Getting the <strong><em>Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act<\/em><\/strong> (HR 650\/S 682) passed is the big ask on Capitol Hill. The non-profits happen to favor something similar. We periodically raise that topic too, because technically it is already the law, passed as part of HERA 2008. With Mel Watt at FHFA, there is certainly a possibility that it could be advanced on the regulatory front.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Where MHI and MHARR (politely) disagree is on the Department of Energy (DOE) standards that are inching towards finalization. MHARR&#8217;s latest on this could be summed up in Matthew Silver&#8217;s recent brief, linked below.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/mharr-says-the-doe-is-seeking-support-for-new-manufactured-home-energy-standards\/\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">http:\/\/www.MHProNews.com\/blogs\/daily-business-news\/<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><b>mharr-says-the-doe-is-seeking-support-for-new-manufactured-home-energy-standards\/<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">In the case of DOE standards, MHI and the non-profits are closer to being on the same page.
