{"id":3118,"date":"2012-02-08T16:49:46","date_gmt":"2012-02-08T22:49:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/manufacturedhomepronews.com\/masthead\/?p=3118"},"modified":"2012-02-08T18:10:18","modified_gmt":"2012-02-09T00:10:18","slug":"asking-questions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/masthead\/asking-questions\/","title":{"rendered":"Asking Questions?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">1) It may not seem like it to regular readers of this column, but the way I begin my writing preparation is by asking questions.<\/font><\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">What are the hottest topics?<\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">Is there good news to share?<\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">Is there a threat on the horizon that needs to be mentioned?<\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">How can we do more to spur a businesses&#39; or the industry&#39;s growth?<\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\"><span><span>As a businessman myself, I know that manufactured housing business owners, executives and leaders have to think in terms of issues such as loss mitigation and profits. How can those two sides of the coin best supported?<\/span> <\/span><\/font><\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\"><span>When it comes to <\/span><\/font><font color=\"#000080\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/business-development\/solutions-overview\" target=\"_blank\"><font size=\"2\"><span><span>sales process training<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/a><\/font><font size=\"2\"><span>, I routinely counsel clients sales professionals to &#39;ask questions.&#39; Not in an interrogation\/FBI fashion, but rather, in a natural conversational way. Questions lead to communications by the customer or prospect. Questions that seek understanding via sincere listening with an angry customer or friend is a way of &#39;lancing the boil,&#39; releasing the poison and starting the process of healing.<\/span><\/font><\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">Questions are the professionals ally. <\/font><\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">2) This week has already been busy beyond belief.<\/font><\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">Some highlights: <\/font><\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font color=\"#000080\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/latest-news-from-mharr\/2684-mharr-feb-7-2012-production-newsrelease\" target=\"_blank\"><font size=\"2\"><span><b><span>New Manufactured Home shipments continue to rise<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/font><\/a><\/font><font size=\"2\"><span>. This is good news indeed for all segments of the Industry: manufacturing, suppliers, retailers, communities, lenders, insurance and other vendors. Half a year of rising shipments that have taken us a few points up over previous years. <\/span><\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font color=\"#000080\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/mhi-news\/2671-mhi-week-in-review-february-3-2011\" target=\"_blank\"><font size=\"2\"><span><b><span>FEMA is calling for new bids for more homes<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/font><\/a><\/font><font size=\"2\"><span>. Another potential brights spot for manufacturers willing and able to make this happen.<\/span><\/font><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">3) Knowledge is Power!<\/font><\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\">Saturday a message came in for me to lend a hand in organizing additional business-building seminars for the Great Southwest Home Show in Tulsa. Starting Monday to the time of this writing, the outreach for the above is well underway. The line up of new profit-power presentations are taking shape. With new manufactured home shipments rising, and the Tulsa Show moved to a better date earlier in the year in a great indoor facility, there are a growing number of reasons for retailers, developers and manufactured home community owner\/operators to prepare for more business.<\/font><\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div align=\"LEFT\"><font size=\"2\"><span>On the seminar\/workshops &#39;Knowledge is Power&#39; front, here is what is shaping up for those forward looking business pros who attend the <\/span><\/font><font color=\"#000080\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/component\/banners\/click\/84\" target=\"_blank\"><font size=\"2\"><span><span>Tulsa Show<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/a><\/font><font size=\"2\"><span> at the Indoor (all season) Quik-Trip Center, a free event admission for most industry pros.
