There are things we do that are important, and to borrow from the Franklin-Covey method for a moment, there are things that we do that are less important. We should know some of the names, some of the \u2018movers and shakers\u2019 and the issues.  If we do, we are arguably better off for it, because we can better plan our own professional efforts.<\/p>\n<p>In every industry there are plenty of people who just run their path.  They just do their job. Photo courtesy of maryTclark<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Almost everyone, almost every day could invest 10 to 15 minutes to learn more about the manufactured and modular housing industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Readers<\/strong> are \u2013 <em>or become <\/em>&#8211; <strong>leaders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learners<\/strong> truly get more opportunities to be <strong>greater earners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever your place, whatever your pace, you will get to where you are going faster, because the more you know the better you can do it.\u00a0 <em>Learning is never a waste of time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Let me suggest that we should all encourage industry learning in our organizations.  I\u2019m talking about learning beyond the periodic company or association meeting.  We should encourage reading up on industry issues, to understand ideas on how to do things better professionally and how it relates to your situation.  Get the best information and learn the best practices.\u00a0 If your company doesn&#8217;t do this, do it for yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Associations are a good place and a valuable way to do learning.  But between association meetings, you can learn a lot by reading news and views from key INdustry professionals right here at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.MHMSM.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.MHMSM.com<\/a> This truly is like no place else for manufactured housing professionals.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a manager or owner, take a minute and ask people who work around you about some of the \u2018people\u2019 and \u2018news\u2019 \u2013 <em>see what they know.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Then, once you gauge their understanding of industry events, encourage them to learn more.  They are online every day anyway.  Suggest this place \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.MHMSM.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.MHMSM.com<\/a> &#8211; as the resource place to improve their understanding of the industry, forces and events that impact them daily.<\/p>\n<p>15 minutes a day.\u00a0 At the end of a month, you&#8217;ll be amazed at what you and\/or your team will learn.<\/p>\n<p>Learn to run that path with more purpose.  Lead others to the path of understanding and growth.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more to earn more.
