Their videos states that one of reportedly three 3D printed houses currently being produced in the U.S. at this time is being installed there.<\/p><div id=\"manuf-411785267\" class=\"manuf-content manuf-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3870480136270376\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3870480136270376\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Printed Farms\u2019 Fredrik Wannius said that this may be the future of much of residential and even commercial construction. &#8220;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Each week, each month new improvements are coming<\/strong><\/span>,&#8221; said Wannius. The 3D printing machine is reportedly between \u00bd to \u00be of a million dollars. These structures are normally built with poured concrete. They are thus very durable.<\/p>\n<p>That noted, back in Tallahassee, &#8220;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>It is certified affordable housing, so we will be reaching out with our non profits in the area that help families locate those homes<\/strong><\/span>,&#8221; said Kyndra Light.<\/p>\n<p>Light operates Precision Building and Renovating LLC with her husband. She said that Light that their goal is to be about twenty five percent (25%) cheaper than conventional on-site construction. \u00a0She thinks that goal is about 12 to 24 months out.<\/p>\n<p><em>MHProNews<\/em> and our <em>MHLivingNews<\/em> sister site have been monitoring and reporting on developments in alternative lower-cost production methods for building for years. Hunt&#8217;s Q&amp;A with Dustin Arp and other pro-CrossMod<sup>TM<\/sup> housing manufactured home professionals is presented in the report and analysis linked above. For thinkers and those in it for the long haul, it is worth the read. The short version for those in a rush? Failed? The ironies and the arguably treacherous and\/or stupid &#8211; take your pick &#8211; rationale for CrossMod<sup>TM<\/sup> homes has not existed from its announced start. Again, the evidence is found in the Tierra Grande report with <em>MHProNews<\/em> analysis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/masthead\/texas-real-estate-center-its-real-crossmods-manufactured-housing-institute-mhi-finance-comments-texas-manufactured-housing-association-tmha-news-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">linked here<\/a> and above.<\/p>\n<p>But it is not just 3D printing of housing that doomed CrossMods.\u00a0 There have been years of reports by <em>MHProNews\/MHLivingNews<\/em> that have laid out the evidence of various challengers to manufactured homes that appear to be affordable housing. Palletized homes &#8211; see the report linked below &#8211; is just one of those HUD Code manufactured home rivals. These units are designed for emergency shelter. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/5000-tiny-houses-yes-says-wa-pallet-producer-shipping-affordable-shelter-to-states-including-texas-ca-and-hawaii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/5000-tiny-houses-yes-says-wa-pallet-producer-shipping-affordable-shelter-to-states-including-texas-ca-and-hawaii\/<\/a><\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The reason there has been an apparent press for decades for an alternative to proven manufactured housing is evidently and arguably because the industry&#8217;s self-proclaimed umbrella and post-production trade group, the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) has failed to properly promote the virtues and value of modern manufactured homes. As but one more twist of ironic fate, MHI&#8217;s own so-called research for CrossMods demonstrated just how poor a job they have done in promoting manufactured homes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 584px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/CrossModtmHomesPhotoManufacturedHousingInstituteStudyResultsMHProNews46percentCrossMod9PercentManufacturedHomeMHProNewsMHIInfoSheetCrossMODtm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"611\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><i> What MHBA&#8217;s Executive Director Tom Hardiman may not have known at that time is that the sales of CrossMod<sup>TM<\/sup> homes was a market flop. That is per the reporting by the GSEs in the November 2019 listening session. Other GSE data since then further underscores that only a few dozen of such homes have been sold via their financing nationally since their much ballyhooed &#8216;new class of manufactured home&#8217; madness first launched. Further follow ups by MHProNews to industry sources have confirmed that there is still &#8220;no traction&#8221; to the CrossMod homes project. That blows the balance of MHI&#8217;s claims out of the water about this project. Which begs the question. Why do they continue to push a failed project? Why are they giving their home page first featured image to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/CrossModManufacturedHousingInstituteMHProNews1.3.2020ManufacturedHomeProNews.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CrossMods<\/a> on this date (7.25.2021), even after years of evidence clearly argues against it? The rationale for it is dark, not bright. Here it is. By promoting a product that arguably undermines all other manufactured homes, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/ModularHomeBuildersAssocLogoTomHardimanCAEPhotoMHBATomHardimanRipsManufacturedHousingInstituteCrossModTMhomesPlusManufacturedHome.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hardiman&#8217;s logic aptly noted<\/a>? Restated,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomelivingnews.com\/manufactured-homeowners-interests-threatened-by-manufactured-housing-institute-deceptive-scheme-per-modular-home-builders-associations-tom-hardiman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> MHBA&#8217;s Hardiman was proven correct, as have other CrossMod<sup>TM<\/sup><\/a> critics. <\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For instance.
