Two Manufactured Home Community (MHC) owners, David Roden and Spencer Roane are devoting considerable time and effort in reaching out to federal and state emergency management officials.  Their basic message?  FEMA, GEMA or others can use vacant MHC home sites and modern energy-efficient Community Series Homes (CSH) far more efficiently than rental housing, while avoiding the errors learned in Katrina&#8217;s aftermath.<\/p><div id=\"manuf-2318970974\" class=\"manuf-content manuf-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3870480136270376\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3870480136270376\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Their efforts are attracting attention.<\/p>\n<p>Sources suggest to MHMSM.com that MHI, MHARR and some state association leaders are in various stages of supporting this initiative.<\/p>\n<p>With hundreds dead and thousands homeless, the tragedies caused by the recent tornadoes are a stark reminder that manufactured homes are not the problem.  They are in fact a key part of the solution to natural disasters.<\/p>\n<p>Videos and still photos of leveled neighborhoods in the South bear stark witness to the fact that tornadoes can devastate any structure. Leading by example is the ideal in action!
