font-size: 10pt;\">At least, it shouldn\u2019t be.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">When HUD Secretary Ben Carson, M.D., and Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) shared the brief exchange below, there was an <em>energy<\/em> in Carson\u2019s words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BeHn7xxLnh8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">It\u2019s an energy &#8211;<strong> &#8220;a shock&#8221;<\/strong> &#8211; that many have experienced over the years when it comes to the surprising realities vs. the unjust, troubled stigmas attached to manufactured homes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/trailer-house-trauma-fresh-look-at-manufactured-housings-opportunities\/<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">So, why aren\u2019t their more such moments of <em>positive shocks<\/em> for the manufactured home industry?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Let\u2019s look at the facts for some clues. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>MH Cohesion?<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Whenever the manufactured housing (MH) industry acted in a rational, and cohesive fashion, it has routinely been able to accomplish in Congress what it needed to do. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">That\u2019s true because at its heart, the MH industry has a great, and non-partisan story.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">That\u2019s what a dispassionate look at the periodic history of the industry reveals. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">For example, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2022<span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>in 1974,<\/strong> when the HUD Code was first passed into law. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2022<span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>Or in 2000,<\/strong> when the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act (MHIA) was passed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2022<span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>And again in 2008,<\/strong> when the Duty to Serve (DTS) Manufactured Housing was passed as part of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HERA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">So when the industry acts cohesively it succeeds. So, why doesn\u2019t it do so more often?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Big and Small&#8230;<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Since before the founding of what today is called the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR), there\u2019s long been a split between larger and smaller &#8220;independent&#8221; producers of HUD Code manufactured homes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">MHARR was a breakaway from the body that today is known as the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI). MHARR was created precisely because of those differing points of view between bigger and smaller producers of federally regulated HUD Code manufactured homes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u201cConsumer Groups\u201d and Manufactured Housing\u00a0<\/span><\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">In several states, there are manufactured home consumer groups that emerged some years ago.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">While \u201c<\/span><b><span lang=\"FR\" style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">resident groups<\/span><\/b><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u201d engage on issues such as finance, those residents\/manufactured home owner associations tend to focus on issues relating to land lease communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">In California, there tends to be fast and hard lines between the MH Industry and resident groups.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Meanwhile, in places such as Ohio and Florida, those state MH Industry trade associations have at times meet and worked successfully with resident groups on key issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Non-Profits, Advocacy, and Manufactured Housing<\/span><\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Foundations and nonprofit groups have a history of positive interest in manufactured housing dating back at least some two decades.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">For example, as a <\/span><i><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Daily Business News<\/span><\/i><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\"> yesterday reported, CFED &#8211; which rebranded as Prosperity Now &#8211; is largely a serious and positive advocate for manufactured homes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/manufactured-housing-top-ten-truths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #b00000; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Based upon their overall positive work advocating for manufactured homes, it\u2019s a little baffling for <em>outsiders looking in<\/em> to see conflict between MHI and Prosperity Now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">But conflicts do exist between MHI and Prosperity Now, on issues that include land lease communities, but also on financing. Prosperity Now has been a loud opponent to the <\/span><i><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Like them or not, consider for a moment the perspective of Prosperity Now on these two issues:<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2022<span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">the issues of \u201c<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>insecurity<\/strong><\/span>\u201d for residents in land lease communities, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Helvetica',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2022<span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">and MHI\u2019s position &#8211; notably <strong>on higher points and fees<\/strong> that benefits primarily the Berkshire Hathaway owned manufactured home lenders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Absent those two bullets, Prosperity Now should be seen by the vast majority of industry pros as a strong advocate for manufactured housing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">So why hasn\u2019t MHI &#8211; the industry\u2019s self-proclaimed \u201c<\/span><strong><span lang=\"IT\" style=\"margin: 0px; color: #993300; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">umbrella<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u201d and \u201c<\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><span lang=\"FR\" style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">post-production<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u201d <\/span><span lang=\"FR\" style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">association <\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">&#8211; found a way to work directly with Prosperity Now, when Ohio and Florida have found ways to work with their resident groups?\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Fair question, right?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">So for any who believe that it is only MHI and MHARR alone who \u2018can\u2019t get along,\u2019 they are mistaken or misinformed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">MHI, MHARR and Consumer Groups<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">This writer, while an MHI member &#8211; perhaps naively &#8211; attempted for years to get MHI and MHARR to work together. <\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3201\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3201\" style=\"width: 340px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3201\" src=\"http:\/\/manufacturedhomepronews.com\/masthead\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/photo-24-e1330286061709.jpg\" alt=\"MHI's New CEO, Dick Jennison\" width=\"340\" height=\"253\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3201\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>This was one of the photos taken by MHProNews, reflecting routine behind the scenes effort some years ago to get MHI and MHARR to work more closely together. Richard Dick Jennison, MHI President and CEO, left, Mark Weiss, J.D., MHARR President and CEO, right.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">The photo taken by <em>MHProNew<\/em>s of Dick Jennison and Mark Weiss, J.D., shaking hands was just one tiny example symbolic of that effort.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">MHI in meetings has reportedly told their members that the consumer groups \u201c<\/span><b><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">can not be reasoned with<\/span><\/b><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Something similar has been said in MHI meetings about MHARR.\u00a0One elected executive committee member stood at an MHI meeting a few years ago, and proclaimed that the \u201c<\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">elephant in the room<\/span><\/b><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u201d was MHARR\u2019s then president, Danny Ghorbani.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Yet as noted above, history shows that MHI and MHARR have achieved good things when they pulled together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">MHARR seems to have a better working relationship with the resident group, NMHOA than MHI does.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"DE\" style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">We<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2019ll pose a question that we will leave dangling for now. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Why is it that MHI<em> can<\/em> get along with MHARR, but only at times?\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Yet for most of the the past 20 years (+\/-), the two are at odds, because one association arguably favors larger players, while the other fights for the rights of smaller, independent companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">It\u2019s against that backdrop of more tension than cohesion that the following undisputed facts ought to be considered. MHI hired a man a few years ago, part of who\u2019s de facto job description was to recruit MHARR members into MHI.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Clayton and Cavco have in recent years both purchased companies that are MHARR members. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Is the trajectory of MHI\u2019s and their larger members\u2019 efforts to eliminate MHARR?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">It is against that brief history that Secretary Carson must consider the internal political minefield of manufactured housing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">On the one hand, manufactured homes are just as \u201c<strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">amazing<\/span><\/strong>\u201d as Dr. Carson said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">The regulations and \u201c<\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">guidance<\/span><\/b><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">,\u201d most notably during the Pam Danner era, have been just as \u201c<\/span><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">ridiculous<\/span><\/b><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u201d as Secretary Carson told that Senate oversight hearing, as the video above attests. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">If MHI wanted to get along with the industry voices that don\u2019t agree with them 100 percent of the time, logically the Arlington based group would only need to do is what it did at times when cohesion existed.\u00a0 Namely? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Listen, understand, and compromise. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">MHI can posture beautifully, but it is their <strong><em>actions<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; not words alone &#8211; that must be the focus.\u00a0 Their members are buying up, and they are actively recruiting MHARR members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">There are MHARR members, and some in MHI, that believe that Pam Danner came to be HUD\u2019s MH program administrator as part of a specific MHI team member\u2019s efforts.\u00a0 If so, that means those\u00a0 \u201c<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><b>ridiculous<\/b><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201d excesses are courtesy of one or more MHI staffer&#8217;s efforts.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Since:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2022<span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Danner was removed from the program a few weeks ago<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2022<span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Lois Starkey was dismissed from HUD, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u2022<span style=\"font: 7pt 'Times New Roman'; margin: 0px; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal;\">\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">and Danner\u2019s overzealous and \u201c<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>ridiculous<\/strong><\/span>\u201d regulatory burdens were put on hold by Carson and the Trump Administration, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">an opportunity for a new beginning exists.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">several risks exist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Widely Recognized Fact<\/span><\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">In finance, or production, in or out of manufactured housing, there is a simple principle at work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; <\/span><i><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">save ask for Danner\u2019s removal.\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Odd?\u00a0 Or shadow boxing?<\/span><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">Let\u2019s consider that as consistent with MHI\u2019s apparent and alleged goal of acting in ways that are more burdensome for smaller companies (see Related Reports, linked at the end, below).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: windowtext; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;\">This is why CFED\u2019s Doug Ryan accused Berkshire Hathaway (BH) of having monopoly power in manufactured housing over financing. While MHI all too often fails to respond to negative media, in that case their SVP Lesli Gooch leapt to respond and defend Berkshire brands in manufactured housing.
