Fine.<\/p>\n<p>But they failed to give you the all-important history. That we did, in the report linked below.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/manufactured-housing-institute-mhi-asks-industry-members-to-ask-senators-to-support-s-2155-behind-the-scenes-details\/<\/p>\n<p>They &#8211; MHI &#8211; are either inept, or brilliant &#8211; <em>\u00a0take your pick<\/em> \u2014 <strong>depending on<\/strong> if your firm is a small to modest sized one, that needs this bill, OR if you&#8217;re a big one &#8211;&gt;<em> that wins if it the measure passes or if it fails.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There are two publishing voices you can <em>routinely<\/em> trust in MHVille, ours or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/industry-news\/mharr-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MHARR<\/a>\u2019s. At times we see something modestly different, but on the big issues, we come to very similar conclusions; often completely independent of each other.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supporting Preserving Access&#8230;but&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MHARR has no dog in the <em>Preserving Access<\/em> hunt. Some years back, when this writer was still under part of the MHI spell, MHARR\u2019s then president told me if anyone calls and asks, do they support <em>Preserving Access<\/em>, \u2018<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>yes we do<\/strong><\/span>,\u2019 said MHARR.<\/p>\n<p>But what they only told a few in the industry is that MHARR felt MHI\u2019s bill <em>had no chance.\u00a0 Preserving Access<\/em> was a waste of time, it was window dressing. Years later, they proved to be 100% correct.<\/p>\n<p>My industry colleagues, with humble hat in hand,\u00a0 this <em>Masthead<\/em> writer bought what MHI was selling &#8212; not all of it, but enough of it as recently as two years ago. It is irrelevant if they win or lose on this, see the commentary to understand. <\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It\u2019s my turn &#8211; <em>MHProNews\u2019<\/em> turn &#8211; to say, if this S 2155 bill passes with or without MHI\u2019s desired phrase, <em>select big manufactured home industry players win either way<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Don\u2019t waste a second on it<\/strong>. The big boys figured out how to get small to medium size companies to pay for &#8211; Via MHI &#8211; what the big boys wanted done.<\/p>\n<p>And the big boys have it planned where win or lose on any given issue, the big boys win. The &#8216;moat&#8217; gets bigger.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a pretty good reason why <strong>Richard \u2018Ducking Dick\u2019 Jennison<\/strong> is not only still president, but gets a raise and bonuses (see resource and related links, below).<\/p>\n<p>Imagine giving a losing quarterback a raise and bonuses? To a QB that has not a single winning season?\u00a0 But you extend the contract, and give bonuses?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>It\u2019s absurd on its face,<\/em><\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>unless<\/strong> <\/span>you see this painful (\u2018all of this alleged\u2019) reality.<\/p>\n<p>*** The <strong>big boys keep everyone via MHI, etc. busy, chasing whatever.<\/strong> Go to a meeting. Send an email. Make a phone call.\u00a0 Do whatever! <strong>Meanwhile,<\/strong><em> win or lose on that issue or action,<\/em> <strong>the powers that be behind MHI win.\u00a0 That&#8217;s the scam in a nutshell. ***<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When the big boys win, odds are good many little ones lost money or it all along the way. Meanwhile, the industry shrinks &#8220;consolidates&#8221; into the hands of some of those same big players.\u00a0 Very convenient?<\/p>\n<p>Time to smell the coffee? Time for a new, national post-production &#8211; retailers, communities, lenders, vendors -association? ## (News, analysis, commentary.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
