Image by MHProNews.com <\/i><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As pro-industry publishers and service providers, we&#8217;ve always sought to identify an issue\u2019s key, and then propose \u2013<em> and lead the way<\/em> &#8211; on methods of dealing with a given problem.<\/p>\n<p>With the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/warren-buffett-the-moat-manufactured-housing-berkshire-hathaway-clayton-homes-21st-mortgage-vanderbilt-wells-fargo-nai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warren Buffett &#8220;the Moat<\/a>&#8221; report above, we\u2019re almost complete with our 2017 periodic series about the true state of the Manufactured Housing Industry.<\/p>\n<p>Which reminds me of a real-life, blast-from-the-past.<\/p>\n<p>One of the last articles that the respected <strong><em>Manufactured Home Merchandiser Magazine<\/em><\/strong> published from me before they closed-down listed the importance of <em>Prayer<\/em> among the secrets of success.<\/p>\n<p>In their wisdom, the <em>Merchandiser<\/em> edited out my references to <em>prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For those who already know, no explanation is needed. For those who don\u2019t know, or need to move beyond political correctness, let\u2019s keep it simple.<\/p>\n<p>The eternal, all perfect, all knowing, all powerful, all merciful Creator \u2013 God, requires <em>nothing.<\/em> Technically, the Almighty <em>has no need for our prayers.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Then why pray?<\/p>\n<p>Prayer isn\u2019t a group of magic words, like a spell. Nor is prayer like rubbing a magic lamp just so to get a wish granted.<\/p>\n<p>Then why pray?<\/p>\n<p>Because it can be transformative <em>for those who pray,<\/em> and thus for others too.\u00a0 No wonder God recommends it.<\/p>\n<p>On this third day of Christmas (C3), as we survey the great potential for our industry and nation, while contrasting it with the current climate in America let\u2019s quickly compare the movie, \u201c<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><em>It\u2019s a Wonderful Life<\/em><\/strong><\/span>,\u201d to the movie, <strong><em>Network<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Both are powerful films, but both are quite different.<\/p>\n<p>Sex has been very much in the news this year and last (isn\u2019t it always?).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For example, in<em> It\u2019s a Wonderful Life<\/em>, sex is there in the background. In <em>Network<\/em>, sex is in your face.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AcBmsonjSe0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s drama, and humor, in both stories.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WINDtlPXmmE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Faith is uplifted in <em>Wonderful,<\/em> but in <em>Network?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/35DSdw7dHjs\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;<span style=\"color: #993300;\">The World is a Corporation&#8221; (<em>Network,<\/em> 1976). <\/span><\/strong>Note, that none of the false promises of the corporate world have come-to-pass.\u00a0 This isn\u2019t to say that business is bad, its to say that the God should inspire and transform every aspect of our life.\u00a0 Yes, that includes our business or profession too.\u00a0 I know numbers of MH Industry pros who believe the same.<\/p>\n<p>In <em>Wonderful,<\/em> that power of prayer is shown to be <em>transformational.<\/em> In <em>Network<\/em>, you have Sybil the Soothsayer and a whole cast of new age characters, and their respective behaviors.<\/p>\n<p>So God\u2019s mentioned in both films, but in <em>Wonderful,<\/em> the Creator is shown in a <em>wonderful way. \u00a0<\/em>In <em>Network,<\/em> the new \u2018god\u2019 is money.\u00a0 How\u2019s that working out, 41 years after <em>Network <\/em>became a hit flick?<\/p>\n<p>The sexual revolution of the 1960s lay almost evenly between <em>Wonderful <\/em>and <em>Network.<\/em> The sexual revolution\u2019s impact on the film and American society are self-evident.<\/p>\n<p>Sex is good or bad, depending on its context.\u00a0 It\u2019s sacred, or profaned, says the Creator, according to its right or wrong use.\u00a0 So too with the other 10 Commandments.<\/p>\n<p>The devil is as real as God, you, or myself are. I respect them, but I\u2019m not a high Anglican, as the brilliant writer, C.S. Lewis was.\u00a0 Lewis\u2019 <em>Screwtape<\/em> letters, and some of his other writings, underscored how Satan operates.\u00a0One of Lucifer\u2019s tools is <em>divide, and conquer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Deceptive half-truths, spin, and outright lies.\u00a0 These are not Godly, they are satanic.<\/p>\n<p>The angel was given free will, abused it, fell from grace.\u00a0 Then the demon takes what God made to be good &#8211; within a certain, specific context &#8211; and the devil gives what\u2019s good, <em>a twist.\u00a0<\/em> The same pattern as lies, or work, or food, etc.\u00a0 The devil takes what\u2019s good, and twists it.<\/p>\n<p>Since early in the history of humanity, the struggle over good and evil has played out on the stage of life.<\/p>\n<p>All of history can be seen \u2013 with the eye of true faith \u2013 as a struggle between evil fighting the Good.<\/p>\n<p>Satan can\u2019t win &#8211; but ever the rebel, like his disciple Saul Alinksy and the book uplifting Lucifer in <strong><em>Rules for Radicals<\/em><\/strong> &#8211; that same, rebellious Lucifer\/Satan who hates God and humanity &#8211; tries to drag as many people along behind him into Hell as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/toxic-combination-of-big-business-in-bed-with-big-government-rules-for-radicals-generation-zero\/<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We have each been given free will.<\/p>\n<p>We must be informed and forged by a combination of grace and the right use of our free will.<\/p>\n<p>Secular humanism\u2019s \u2018Everything goes\u2019 philosophy of life has been a documentable disaster. The sexual revolution is just another excess, which has led to millions of broken hearts. Along with any other excess of food, drink, work, etc. \u2013 it leads to death between people, relationships, trust, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Who says? Not me, it\u2019s God who said it.\u00a0 Ask Moses.\u00a0 Or ask Jesus, whose birth we are celebrating.<\/p>\n<p>And on this, the third day of Christmas &#8211; C3 &#8211; we call to mind why God became an infant in the first place. To redeem and lead a fallen humanity back to an eternal paradise.<\/p>\n<p>IMHO, Jesus ought to be held up as the exemplar for all builders, including factory-builders.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve not seen<em>, It\u2019s a Wonderful Life<\/em> in a while, set aside the time to watch it with family, friends or solo at the link below.
