{"id":1356,"date":"2011-02-05T10:43:04","date_gmt":"2011-02-05T16:43:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/blogs\/tonykovach\/?p=1356"},"modified":"2011-02-07T09:10:26","modified_gmt":"2011-02-07T15:10:26","slug":"a-community-owners-call-manufactured-housing-and-gswhs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/masthead\/a-community-owners-call-manufactured-housing-and-gswhs\/","title":{"rendered":"A Community Owner&#8217;s Call, Manufactured Housing and GSWHS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Among the recent calls that came in was one from a community owner with a turnaround property in Ohio.\u00a0 She had attended our <strong>&#8220;Dominate your Local Market<\/strong>&#8221; seminar in Louisville and wanted <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/blogs\/bobstovall\/\">Bob Stovall, our IT and WebTech<\/a> Manager to follow up.\u00a0 We chatted about a number of topics.\u00a0 She was very pleasantly surprised by the value that manufacturers offered on new homes.\u00a0 Why go used,\u00a0 she asked, when you could save all the headache (and heartache) by buying a new Community Series home at about the same cost; plus your home buyer gets a new home look and warranty!\u00a0 She was very pleased with the Ohio Manufactured Housing Association, which she felt offers a wealth of knowledge.\u00a0 She was ready to cancel her &#8216;no results&#8217; yellow pages ad in favor of a robust web based approach.\u00a0 Legal, licensing, finance, industry events and more were discussed.\u00a0 Having &#8216;taken over&#8217; a family-run community, she walked away understanding the value of going to a trade show, being part of an association and why seminars and new homes are all such keys to advancing her business.<\/p><div id=\"manuf-1227086726\" class=\"manuf-content manuf-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3870480136270376\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3870480136270376\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Some call or message me about the importance or size of the used home market.\u00a0 Some talk about how important good customer service is, and indeed I agree that customer care is a must.<\/p>\n<p>We will always have used home sales, or as a very successful Community Owner stated to me recently, &#8220;resales!&#8221; What words we use does matter!<\/p>\n<p>Yes, resales in cars, boats, RVs or homes of all kind will always be important.\u00a0 But if we don&#8217;t order new cars, boats or manufactured homes, how long will that industry last?<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you know someone &#8211; a retailer, community operator or other industry professional &#8211; who needs to learn something new.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been in this business since back in the days when South Shields Blvd. in Oklahoma City had 53 sales &#8216;lots&#8217; all within three miles on that one street!\u00a0 We all have to learn &#8211; big or small, round or tall!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/calendar\">Trade shows <\/a>are an unparalleled opportunity to learn while you are networking with peers and having a good time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/calendar\">Trade associations<\/a> can be a significant value in an age when regulations and market shifts can swamp a small business.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge is power, which means that information wisely used leads to profits.<\/p>\n<p>Smart folks, like yourself, read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/\">daily business news<\/a> in their industry, which is why hundreds are signing up for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/news-at-noon\">MHMSM.com podcasts<\/a> to join the thousands already signed up to get our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/subscribe\">emailed information updates<\/a>.\u00a0 All free!\u00a0 You don\u2019t find these anywhere else.\u00a0 Over 37,000 here in January 2011 can&#8217;t be wrong!
