That story, is linked here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;\">Within an hour of that article, the guest letter from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhpronews.com\/blogs\/industryvoices\/umh-president-and-ceo-sam-landy-on-rent-control-manufactured-home-communities\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>UMH CEO Sam Landy<\/strong> came in. His letter to the editor, is linked here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;\">With that public comment in hand, we are now better able to respond to such rent control stories in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;\">Not everyone will agree with our tackling thorny issues publicly. We can influence the media, because our operation is <em>trade media.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"Body\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;\">Public officials<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 1.5;\">Investors<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">Policy advocates<\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">Educators<\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">Non-profits<\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">Attorneys<\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">Association professionals<\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">Producers<\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">Suppliers<\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">MH Retailers and of course<\/li>\n<li class=\"Body\">beaucoups Manufactured home community pros<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Body\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;\">&#8230;all of whom logon daily by the thousands. In the late 90s, the industry topped 372,000 homes. Today, we are looking at a SAAR of some 80,000 homes?
