Is it a negotiating tactic? Something else? <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Regardless, our source tells us that the <a href=\"http:\/\/manufacturedhomepronews.com\/masthead\/another-big-mh-deal-warren-buffett-grabbing-nettles\/\" target=\"_blank\">MHC deal that could have involved dozens of properties is not going to happen now<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">We&#8217;ve heard another interested party for that group of MHCs is waiting in the wings. Again, one must ask, tactic? Real? <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Whatever the intent of the parties, the reality is that for some years, one suitor after another is said to have danced up to the seller&#8217;s line, looked around, and then danced away&#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">We&#8217;ll keep our eyes and ears open, please do be same.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>A &#8216;deal&#8217; that&#8217;s<\/b><\/span> <span lang=\"en-US\"><b>No Secret<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">We&#8217;ve said before there is not much enthusiasm by the GSEs to do their legally mandated Duty to Serve (DTS) manufactured housing. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manufacturedhomepronews.com\/final-duty-to-serve-rule-planned-average-mhc-site-cost-nearly-doubles-in-18-months\/\" target=\"_blank\">They want to have loans on MHCs count towards their DTS goals<\/a>. We&#8217;ll do a story that confirms the point that the GSE&#8217;s are cool on doing DTS the way the industry wants to see it done. \u00a0As a side-note, without comment, we&#8217;ll merely not a recent column by MHARR suggesting that effort is potentially being undercut by parties within the MH Industry.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>The reality is<\/strong> that the current MH personal property or &#8216;chattel loan&#8217; lenders are successful at what they do. That&#8217;s in spite of the negative impacts of CFPB regulations we&#8217;ve shared numerous reports on (for example, see link below). The more I&#8217;ve pondered Chet and James&#8217; phrasing, the more I like it. &#8220;<strong>Education<\/strong>&#8221; covers more than &#8220;<strong>image campaign<\/strong>&#8221; does. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Look carefully. Peel back almost any issue that you see MH is getting the short end of the stick on. Look at DTS. Look at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/blogs\/tonykovach\/?p=10526\" target=\"_blank\">installations\/ placement<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mhmarketingsalesmanagement.com\/blogs\/industryvoices\/?p=2358\" target=\"_blank\">zoning<\/a>. Look at&#8230;any regulatory matter.
