To see that interview, see link at the end of this guest column.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>From that point, I have become increasingly pleased with the outcome, but tempered that with cautious optimism.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some promises and expectations from the president-elect, alongside my comments and thoughts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Streamline permitting, and project approvals. <em><u>Bet that takes considerable time.<\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Corporate tax cut from 35% to 15%. <em><u>Am I dreaming?\u00a0 Can\u2019t believe that will materialize.<\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Much simpler tax code with only three tiers: 12%; 25%; 35%. <em><u>Simpler will be harder to game. Long overdue!<\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Foreign-held profits must be brought home for a one-time rate of 10%. <em><u>Makes good sense to me.<\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Alternative Minimum Tax: <em><u>An incredible \u201cGot-Cha.\u201d\u00a0 Long overdue!<\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>MH Community and Manufacturing Operators \u2013 along with others in business &#8211; get to expense expansion cost under the president-elect\u2019s proposals. <em><u>WOW! What a nice surprise!<\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Roads, bridges, and tunnels updated and expanded. <em><u>A trillion in infrastructure spending over 4 years would boost growth by several percentage points. <\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Redirect foreign spending to needed USA infrastructure. <em><u>Huge boost to jobs and investing. <\/u><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Most of President Obama\u2019s executive orders are <em><u>How wonderful!<\/u> <\/em><\/li>\n<li>Dodd Frank and CFPB to be <em> <u>Hallelujah!
