Recalling the important debate you started about defining “manufactured housing,” here is a very good one from of all places, Utah, which just enrolled this bill as law!<\/p>\n

Manufactured home" means a transportable factory built housing unit:<\/p>\n

127) constructed on or after June 15, 1976, according to the Federal Home Construction and Safety<\/p>\n

128) Standards Act of 1974 (HUD Code), in one or more sections, which, in the traveling mode, is<\/p>\n

129) eight body feet or more in width or 40 body feet or more in length, or when erected on site, is<\/p>\n

130) 400 or more square feet, and which is built on a permanent chassis and designed to be used as a<\/p>\n

131) dwelling with or without a permanent foundation when connected to the required utilities, and<\/p>\n

132) includes the plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, and electrical systems.<\/p>\n
